The UV Laser Machine Desktop LITE is the compact variant of the MetaQuip industrial UV laser series. The same proven 355 nm UV laser technology, now in a handy size that fits perfectly in smaller workshops, laboratories, or production environments.

UV lasers are ideal for marking plastics and other sensitive materials. The short UV wavelength ensures very precise marking with minimal heat input. As a result, materials remain intact and a sharp, durable engraving is created without burnt edges, melting, or unwanted deformation.

Why a UV laser and not a fiber or CO₂ laser?

Which materials can I engrave with the UV Laser Machine LITE?
The UV Laser Machine LITE is suitable for virtually all industrial synthetic materials, thin-walled glass (such as wine glasses), Printed Circuit Board (PCB) material, and various other materials. 3D-printed materials can be challenging due to their structure. Are you unsure about your specific material? We would be happy to perform a test engraving for you.
What is the difference between a UV laser and a fiber laser for plastic?
Fiber lasers use infrared light (1064 nm) that burns plastics, causing the material to swell and the engraving to be less sharp. A UV laser (355 nm) operates cooler and more precisely via a photochemical process: the material is not burned but processed at a molecular level. The result: sharper lines, better contrast, and no surface distortion.
Is the UV Laser Machine LITE CE certified?
Yes. The machine fully complies with all applicable CE European Machinery Directives and laser safety standards. Please note: this is not the same as the 'CE' logo found on many Chinese import machines — that stands for 'China Export'. MetaQuip can always provide the underlying documentation and measurement reports.
How soon can I get started after purchase?
As soon as the machine is in stock, you can get started quickly. We deliver the machine to your location, install it, and provide basic training — all for €200. If out of stock, the delivery time is 11–13 weeks. Express delivery (6–9 weeks) is possible at an additional cost.
Can I laser barcodes and QR codes onto plastic?
Yes. The UV Laser Machine LITE engraves 1D barcodes, QR codes, and Data Matrix codes with high resolution on plastic, PCB, and glass. The engravings are directly scannable with standard barcode scanners. Using the included EzCad software, you can enter barcodes directly and have sequential serial numbers increment automatically.

Do I need to take extra safety measures?
With the UV laser machine LITE (laser class 3R), no additional protective measures are required during operation — maximum safety is guaranteed.

The full UV Laser Machine is available in power options up to 10 Watts, suitable for higher production volumes and heavier applications.
